Top 3 Lehigh Valley Wedding Venues

Top Lehigh Valley Wedding Venues Written by a Wedding Photographer

I thought I’d pay tribute to my hometown and list a few of my favorite Lehigh Valley Wedding Venues from my perspective.

You probably shouldn’t take just anyone’s word when reading a list you clicked randomly from Google. Your special day is worth more than that!

I am an Allentown based wedding photographer who has been in business for over 8 years! I’ve worked at each of these venues over 15 times and am still finding new things that I love about them.

My Credentials

  • Shot over 200+ weddings in my 8-year career.
  • Delivered hundreds of thousands of photos to happy clients.
  • Won multiple awards alongside some of the best wedding photographers in the world.
  • Placed in contests from ISPWP, Fearless Photographers, and Masters of Wedding Photography.
  • Ranked top 30 North American wedding photographers on Masters of Wedding Photography.
  • Featured in places like Lehigh Valley Style, Philadelphia Magazine, Huffington Post, Offbeat Bride, MunaLuchi Bride and more.

A lot of New York and Philadelphia couples do not want the stress and headaches that a big city wedding can bring. This is why the Lehigh Valley is a great choice when thinking about your wedding day.

This list is for the couple that is on the search for their Lehigh Valley venue and wants to make sure that the backdrop for their wedding will be stress-free and perfect.

In my opinion, Monterre Vineyards owns the best outdoor wedding ceremony site in all of Lehigh Valley.

Monterre Vineyards

Know what’s crazy? Monterre is probably one of the most unique wedding venues in the Lehigh Valley – and it’s a hidden gem!

Monterre Vineyards is a family-owned and operated wedding venue located in Orefield. They specialize in intimate, laid-back events and are one of the few venues that focus on farm-to-table wedding food. When I think of wedding venues with great food, this one is at the top of the list.

Photographer Pro Tip for a Monterre Vineyards Wedding

Monterre Vineyards is home to my absolute favorite outdoor ceremony spot! (which you can see in the photo above) Pro tip – time your wedding ceremony for Golden Hour under the oak tree. This guarantees that the sun will be setting right above the trees behind you as you tie the knot.

  • 2 gorgeous outdoor ceremony locations
  • Promotes an intimate wedding atmosphere
  • Delicious farm to table wedding food by Divine Catering
  • Indoor and outdoor ceremony and cocktail options
  • Cocktail hour in the vineyard

Bear Creek has some of the most modern architecture I’ve seen for a wedding venue.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort

The resort offers three different wedding reception venues for your choosing. Each ballroom has its own personality, which can reflect your particular style or taste. And every ballroom is attached to an outdoor space as well as its own ceremony site.

Photographer Pro Tips for a Bear Creek Wedding

Take advantage and create a wedding weekend instead of a wedding night. Hire a photographer to capture not only your wedding, but also your rehearsal dinner, after-party and next morning brunch.

Renaissance Allentown Hotel

Nestled in the City Center of Allentown’s revitalization is the Renaissance Allentown Hotel. Surrounded by many of downtown’s most corner-stone restaurants and businesses, the hotel is attached to the PPL Center and just a few steps away from the Allentown Art Museum and Miller Symphony Hall.

Photographer Pro Tip for a Renaissance Hotel Wedding

Location, location, location! That’s the best thing about this Allentown wedding venue. Within just a few blocks, you’ll find an urban city vibe.

One of the best things you can have for a low-stress wedding day is to decrease travel as much as possible. The Arts Walk, which is filled with murals, is right across the street from the hotel. At Renaissance Allentown, you have no need to walk more than a few blocks for all of your wedding and photography needs.

Some of the biggest weddings I ever photographed happened at this venue. The reception space easily accommodates more than 200 people which makes for the most epic party of your life.

Summary of Renaissance Allentown Hotel

  • Rooftop access overlooking downtown Allentown and the rest of the Lehigh Valley
  • PPL Center and The Dime restaurant attached to the hotel
  • Arts Walk across the street, great location for first look, portraits and more.
  • Modern, industrial decor.
  • All in one location.
